Q3 2024 – Brokering New Beginnings: Welcome Chris Wight!

At the beginning of the year, we welcomed Chris Wight to Team Cranbrook as our Director of Brokerage | Senior Property Manager. In his role, Chris will oversee our Central Valley property portfolio and serve as the Company’s broker of record. With over 35 years of experience in all disciplines of commercial real estate including development, banking, capital markets, brokerage and asset management, Chris brings invaluable expertise to our property management team.

Chris attended both Oregon State University and later San Jose State University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Finance. Chris immediately began a career in the real estate industry at CBRE where he focused on industrial and retail leasing. After setting the groundwork for his career, Chris took on the role of Senior Vice President in the Wells Fargo Realty Finance Group, based out of their San Francisco Corporate headquarters. During his time at Wells Fargo, he focused on investment sales and creative financing. He also worked as a “ground-up” developer for Reynolds and Brown Development in the SF Bay Area. Before joining Cranbrook, Chris served as a Senior Director in the Capital Markets group at both Cushman & Wakefield and Colliers International in San Francisco. In these roles, he was responsible for structuring large institutional transactions.

On a personal note, Chris grew up in the Bay Area and currently resides in the East Bay with his two youngest children, Caden and Amber, and wife, Tiffany. During his free time, Chris and his family love to travel all over the world with recent trips to Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and Jordan. Chris’ older two sons live abroad in Hong Kong and Japan, which gives his family a great excuse to travel outside the US and visit as often as possible. When not working or traveling, Chris enjoys watching his son play basketball and his daughter compete in tennis matches.

Chris joined Cranbrook because of his long-term working relationship with Jim Devenport and their history of doing real estate deals together over the years. He loves new challenges and making deals and is excited to be part of Cranbrook!
