Q3 2022 Featured Building Improvements

This quarter found Cranbrook focusing on projects to enhance properties for our current tenants, in addition to preparing buildings proactively for ADA compliance.  From the creation of desirable suites to protecting our current properties with fire sprinklers and new security fencing, we are actively progressing and planning for the future.

Breakwater ADA Ramp

Part of Cranbrook’s commitment to site accessibility means that we will at times proactively install various facilities improvements intended to meet compliance requirements, in addition to tenant comfort. With the creation of a new ADA-compliant entry ramp and stairs at Breakwater Business Park, we have enhanced our property entrance for multiple tenants in a prominent location on our building. This forward-facing upgrade shows well and is a highly visible example of our continuous commitment to improving our assets. This project cost was $125,000.

Catalina Upgrades

Our tenant in the medical service field is in the process of multiple Cranbrook-approved and managed site improvements that will greatly increase the property’s usability and functionality. These upgrades include the installation of a fully sprinklered warehouse with a new fire service connection and monitoring panel, plus the reconfiguration and refresh of an older building to host both training and operation functions. Site security is addressed with the addition of fencing and automatic gates throughout the property, with a focus on both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The extensive improvements for Catalina will total over $700,000 when completed later this year.
